Our Junior Team prioritizes mastering fundamental lacrosse skills while also introducing higher level skills and game strategies. As a Junior, players will have the opportunity to compete against neighboring teams, they are introduced to the 12v12 format on a full size field, and have modified checking rules. There is continued focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and the development of character on and off the field.

NEW MEMBERS

Junior Team, House Club Developmental Player

If you're a player new to the league, you will register as a Junior Team, House Club Developmental Player—a crucial step in your development as a competitive player.

While Junior House Club Team members may not be eligible for league gameplay at the start, they are integral participants in every aspect of their respective teams. From immersive practices to tournaments, league nights, and engaging in-league programming and events, our developmental program ensures that you're fully integrated into the league experience.

Participation details and fees are tailored to accommodate our developmental players. Depending on the size of the team and individual progress, House Club players may have the opportunity to transition to the League Club Team during the season. This pathway provides a clear route for players to challenge themselves and reach new heights in their skills and competition level.

The commitment to development doesn't stop there—all Junior House Club players are guaranteed a spot on the League Club Team for the following season. Our developmental program is designed to be a stepping stone for players, propelling them into the competitive arena while providing a supportive and inclusive space.

South Windsor Athletes

Spring registration will be limited to South Windsor athletes. Should there be open roster spots, we will extend registration to athletes from neighboring towns without their own youth lacrosse programs. Recognizing that several nearby town leagues are experiencing low program numbers, we aim to thoughtfully guide athletes from surrounding towns to those programs for the upcoming season.
